Wendy grew up in Clayton County, Georgia and attended First Baptist Jonesboro where she was active in children and youth ministries and gave her life to Jesus when she was 8 years old.  However, life circumstances, unhealthy relationships, and poor personal choices along the way led her into many valleys.

But God never let her go!  After drawing her to Himself again, Wendy completely surrendered her life to serve Jesus with her medical skills on the mission field and to find ways to share His love both on the field and in her home and community.  She has served on and/or led 31 short-term mission and evangelical mission trips including two trips to Senegal, three trips to Iraq during active war time, several trips to numerous villages and towns in Liberia, the Republic of Georgia, Honduras, El Salvador, Panama, Nicaragua, Dominican Republic and Guatemala.  She has authored a book of daily devotionals for mission teams and currently serves as the Missions Director of her home church, First Baptist Church of Gulf Shores, Alabama.
